Mission Statement
To help
facilitate and nurture an understanding between the oldest culture
in the world and the United States American Culture.
The CCAI helps to broaden this understanding through the exchange of cultural arts between the two societies.
The oldest and deepest cultural roots of any society are in its dances. CCAI helps with the exchange of dance, art, culture, theatre and language.
CCAI was incorporated in the Spring of the year of 2000 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. CCAI's goal is to bring a greater understanding of the long history of the Chinese cultural arts and to further facilitate and nurture this understanding among other different cultures.
CCAI has been actively participating in cultural and community events since its inception. We will continue to introduce more exquisite top-notch traditional and modern Chinese performing arts to the American audience.
CCAI currently offers dance, ballet, calligraphy, painting, language, Tai-Chi Chuan classes and newly added, yoga exercises. Besides these, we will provide more classes such as Chinese culinary, paper cutting, origami, music, flower arrangement, tea arts, crafts and other folk activities. We will host seminars and workshops for both adults and children and have summer camps for children. We will also try to invite performing art groups to Harrisburg. Anyone who is interested in Chinese culture and art is welcome to attend and participate in any one of these activities!
