LA Competition Info:

Nearly 2 months intense extra trainings, 7 CCAI students were qualified to attend the Chinese Youth Folk Dance Championship in Los Angeles on May 22nd and 23rd. All of them were advanced to the final competition. Below is the dance competition result for CCAI:

·  Jessica Chou: Fairy Child playing the Golden Ball - Participation Award 仙童戯金球- 参與獎

·  Patricia Huang: Sun Bird Dancing in the Moon Light - Outstanding Performance Award月光下的太陽鳥 – 優秀獎

·  Vicki Chou: Chinese Spear Dance - 2nd Place 戰鼓銀槍 – 亞軍

·  Erica Lyder: Clam Fairy Playing Water - 3rd Place蚌仙嬉水 - 季軍

·  Vicki Chou & Patricia Huang: Mongolian Celebration - 1st Place 蒙族風情 - 冠軍

·  Erica Lyder & Helen Zhang: Flutter the Ribbon Fan - 3rd Place 飘扇翩翩 - 季軍

·  Jessica Chou, Vicki Chou, Lily Hess, Patricia Huang, Erica Lyder, Hannah Wastyh: Chinese Fan Dance - 2nd Place扇形英姿舞威風 - 亞軍

The eligible students for Beijing Summer Camp 2010 are: Vicki Chou, Patricia Huang, Erica Leyder, Helen Zhang, and Hannah Wastyk. Vicki and Patricia were awarded the free airline tickets and all the expenses for this summer camp.
