About CCAI

Mission Statement

To help facilitate and nurture an understanding between the oldest culture in the world and the United States American Culture. The CCAI helps to broaden this understanding through the exchange of cultural arts between the two societies. The oldest and deepest cultural roots of any society are in its dances. CCAI helps with the exchange of dance, art, culture, theatre and language.

Goals

CCAI has been working with the State of Pennsylvania, Dauphin County, and the City of Harrisburg to help bring about CCAI’s future Cultural & Arts Center. We are starting CCAI’s Capital Campaign to raise the funding to build a architecturally classic Chinese style culture center in the state capitol. With all of CCAI’s activities and events we hope to help the City prosper and grow and become an integral part of an emerging and vibrant Harrisburg. CCAI is in the right City at the right time. Money Magazine rated the City of Harrisburg as one of the up and coming 3 cities in the country. Kiplinger rated Harrisburg as one of the top to live in. And, we are located right in the middle of the major metro areas of the East Coast.

CCAI’s goal is to build a cultural center in Harrisburg that will act as another anchor in the growing cultural & arts vibrancy of the city. The cultural center will act as a magnet on the East Coast for Chinese cultural activities. We have a lot going for us: location, growing populations, the right timing, and our staff and founders. CCAI’s new center would become a cultural anchor for everyone and the cultural anchor of a vibrant business community. With a 500 seat theater, 2 blackbox theaters, dance studios, classrooms, museum display space throughout the center, library, office space, cafe, traditional tea house, bookstore, and artist in residence space, we are looking forward to helping the City grow.
